What a great display by Theo. Amazing. But what a great CM Rosicky is — amazing how he get’s the team ticking. And on that first goal, watch Arshivin… He starts the play around the midfield line with a pass to Chamakh, runs for the return passes to Rosicky who makes a gorgeous return pass — and then lays the ball perfectly for Theo. Pure genius. Diaby looked really strong with his forward runs as well. He is really wasted when he isn’t allowed to get forward. All in all, an awesome display.

That was a great team performance. The star players were Theo and Rosicky. Well done to the lads, but we need to be consistant and continue to batter teams like this.

We will sign Squillaci tomorrow according to the Sevilla website. Thats brilliant news. A good, strong, vastly experienced cb who knows what it takes to be a winner. Wenger finally gets it. Now if we also get the gk we need, then im sure that we will end our trophy drought this season.

Great for Theo! Rosicky was awesome in the middle but was so 🙂 to see Song making everything calm at the back!

Of course, the boys taking their shirts off at the end makes me wish for the British summer to go on forever *sigh*!

Definitely a great way to start off things at home. Theo justified his starting place with a hat trick and Arshavin finally seemed to played with the team rather being so individualistic. More importantly, Arsenal were able to hang onto the clean sheet though Blackpool were clueless going forward. Almunia and his defenders should be proud of this after missing out clean sheets last season conceding last minute goals. Long way to go!

I’ll say this, even though we played well, I hate it when the red cards come out too readily. It really spoils a game. Ok, ok … so it helps in the big games and who doesn’t want fat boy Rooney or Drogba get sent off, but it still spoils it as a spectacle. In fact Liverpool were far better against us with 10.

Anyway, we played well. I thought the combination of Walcott coming in from the right and Rosicky coming in from the left looked very effective. I would like to see Arshavin have a bit more of a free role behind Chamakh and Van Persie. That could be quite promising. On Chamakh, I know he finally got on the score sheet but for a while there he alarmingly looked as incompetent at Bendtner. That shot over the bar from 4 yards out was spectacular. I’m not judging him just yet though, give him half a season.

All I know is, the top three after two games are Chelsea, Arse and Man U and I think it’s going to be those three for the whole season with maybe Man City in 4th. However, I am hopeful for silverware this season and Squillaci is an excellent acquisition. Experience and quality. Now just bring in Schwarzer and we don’t look bad.

    Go the Arse!

Theo took his goals well but noone apart from Wigan are going to play like that against us. Still the news today is that Wenger has pulled the cheque book out at last and signed Squillaci and has double the bid for Scwarzer. Song had a good game but would like to see him back in midfield against stronger teams. Thought Sagna was good too down the right and Rosicky looks like returning to fitnes and form – he’s class and means we won’t miss Nasri.

Was really impressed with Rosicky’s performance, I hope he can continue on a consistent basis; I had long said to many a fan that when he came to Arsenal he was better than Fabregas but didnt get a chance to showcase this as he was part of a midfield rather than the controller of the team. Staying on topic I thought we were brilliant and did what was needed of us. Oh yeah there’s some video website I came across which has footage of Arsenal fans before and after the game.
