Arsenal belong in the Champions League

Arsenal are 1.5 shots to beat Newcastle at the Emirates on Monday night and in their current form look worthy odds-on shots to bag all three points.
Arsene Wenger’s men put up a terrific effort to beat AC Milan in the second leg of their Champions League tie, and were unlucky to be knocked out 4-3 on aggregate.

Before that they had registered a convincing 5-2 home win over Spurs and a terrific 2-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield and if carrying on the same vein should be too strong for the Magpies.
Alan Pardew’s men seem to be running out of steam at a crucial stage of the season and are struggling to score goals.
They did manage to come from 4-0 down in this corresponding fixture to share the spoils, but I don’t expect the Gunners to make the same mistake twice and if they get a lead then they will surely finish the job off this time round.
As far as the stats are concerned Newcastle have won just two of their last 18 Premier League games against Arsenal, but have won one and drawn two of the last three.
Arsenal have, however, won nine of their last 12 Premier League home games and lost just one are are definitely the form side coming into this
Robin van Persie has scored four goals in his last five games against Newcastle and 43 in his last 44 Premier League matches.
The Dutchman has also scored 21 goals in his last 20 Premier League games at the Emirates, including 14 in the last 11.
He is a 4 chance with bet365 to net first, and that looks solid value.
However backing him to score anytime has been a licence to print money this season and backing him to do so again at 1.67 with bet365 surely has to be better value than punting Arsenal at 1.5 in the outright market.
I fully expect Arsenal to win this, and my idea of the outcome is a 2-1 or 3-1 victory for the Gunners.
The former is a 8 chance with bet365 while the latter is an 11 shot with Betfred and Boylesports.
