Arsenal FC Blog KitBattle it out with other Arsenal FC Blog readers

Just a quick post about the Arsenal FC Blog Fantasy Premier League I proposed yesterday. I asked readers of the blog who wanted to join the league to contact me and I would send them to code, but due to some problems with accessing the contact form a lot of people who wanted to join could not. As a result I’ve decided to end that process and just make the code available to everyone. So here it is: 708882-122314.

I encourage everyone to join here, it should be great fun. Anyway, I’m off to work on my season preview and take Linvoy Primus out of my team - apparently he’s got a knee injury. It’s going to be a long season.

Have your say on the Arsenal FC Blog Fantasy Premier League by leaving a comment.

Thanks mate, make sure you join! Thanks to everyone who has done so up to this point. The response has been much better than yesterday’s shambles!

I got to get Shay Given out as well…apparently he’s out for some time. :(

Hey,i luv u all arsenal fans 4 u’re faith in the team. the fantasy league is cool but do know how to play.

  6. Spanish Fry on Wednesday 8, 2007

JULIUS – If you want to play check out the Fantasy Premier League site here, and read the rules. It’s pretty simple once you get the hang of it. If you having any problems just let us know here and I’m sure someone will be able to give you a hand.

darragh – I used to get Shay Given but not anymore, Newcastle’s defence is too poor.

NicktheGooner – Seeing as though the pressure is on me to justify my football knowledge in some way I will probably choke and finish last. I look forward to a cellar-dweller battle with you!

Do Arsenal need anymore signings?.All the positions seem to be filled in the gooners team,It’d be great for 1 or 2 new faces who can help the cause but to be honest, arent all the places filled.??I’d say maybe another striker,(Ricardo Quaresma,Jan Huntelaar or Obafemi Martins)
Robin Van Persie to score twice,Eduardo and Rosicky each goal in 4-0 win come on Arsenal.
    Arsenal4-1Fulham !
Surely gonna make some people eat their words!!!

We dont have yet,but it’s exciting thinking that someone will come soon!
    Ricardo Quaresma or Diarra.

rofl. It’ll be one helluva battle. And i might sound silly, but i dont take Arsenal players coz if u have em and they dont play well, Arsenal is in trouble and my team is in trouble. So i take players from spuds, chelsea and manu’s. If they don’t play well, i’m very much happy. If they play well, atleast i get some points.. taada.. Now dont throw eggs.. :P

What a rubbish statement Nick! That’s like betting against your team so that even if they lose, you win! There’s gotta be some Arsenal players in there surely!!

  15. Spanish Fry on Wednesday 8, 2007

And yes, it is going to be a great battle :)

  20. [...] Whatever the truth is behind the story, the fact is that Lehmann will be replaced by Manuel Almunia - winner of the Arsenal Crossbar Challenge – rather than young Polish goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski. Wenger’s use of the words “maybe more, I don’t know” suggests that if Almunia does perform well in the next few matches he will keep his place in the side, and rightly so. I have never hidden that I am a big fan of Lehmann but it is clear that he has not performed anywhere near the level required of him and this “injury”, however minor it actually is, has come at a perfect time for Almunia and the club. The Spaniard looked very sharp in pre-season fixtures and I’m sure supporters will be confident in his ability to take the chance he has been presented with. Heck, I’ve even put him into my Fantasy League team. [...]

  21. [...] League Fantasy Football will also be up and running soon and due to the great success of the Arsenal FC Blog Fantasy Premier League I’ll definitely be setting up a Champions League edition. That’s all for [...]
