[...] Just as a side note, one of the first posts I ever wrote for this blog was about Arsenal’s 1-0 loss at home last season to West Ham. It was one of the most frustrating games I have ever watched as an Arsenal supporter and if it happens again their will be trouble. If you can’t remember why it was so frustrating, just click here.
I also really want Baptista to pull through and stay with the club next season - but at the moment his form is woeful. I have to disagree with you about Adebayor though, his job as a lone striker is to bring the wingers and midfielders into the game as much as possible and THEY should be the ones scoring the goals. Unfortunately the likes of Hleb, Fabregas, Rosicky and Ljungberg have just been woeful in front of goal when the opportunities have been there to do better.

I agree with Svelde. The lack of quality strikers, the likes of Henry or Van Persie, is hurting. Adebayor is good, but I don't think he is an out and out striker - otherwise he would be scoring much more. Baptista is still adjusting (I'm still holding out for him, its only his first season in the premiership - Henry and Bergkamp needed a season to adjust!), and Aliadiere is just not getting enough time on the pitch.

Interesting point Svelde. I think you're right to a point - but these sort of games have happened before with these two in the team. I remember a 0-0 match against Fulham a few years ago where Edwin van der Sar made 20+ saves. Infuriating! I still think Wenger needs to work his team hard to improve their finishing.

Nice site. I think Arsenal's problems are completely down to the fact that Henry and van Persie are both injured. With those two we would not be missing such easy chances!
