They really stepped up for what was a difficult match and ultimately we dominated (as The Great Man said) against an in-form team that was full of confidence. 3-0 is their biggest loss of the season - puts it in perspective. Fab was immense. On fire. What about that celebration after his free kick??? But I actually felt confident we'd win anyway because we seemed so in control. Not that I'm sorry Fab came on - we witnessed a special moment there chaps. And Diaby...so The Great Man knows more about football than I do after all! THAT's what he saw in him that I never could. If he keeps playing like that we've got a new secret weapon in the team. He slalams through defenders. keeps the ball really well. Has great control. Can score! Fantastic performance in this match. As arsenal fans we must be happy at this moment in time. We sit third with a game in hand which if won would propel us to second. Chelsea , the league leaders keep faltering, other teams around us are also dropping points and best of all we keep winning. Villa was a very hard game and it needed that extra spark to win it and that extra spark was the 21 min cameo appearance of Cesc. He doesnt make many cameo appearances for us but he always leaves his mark. Our skipper was just outstanding on the pitch even for a short time. I do hope its not a bad injury and only needs a couple of days to heal cuz with RvP out for the whole season, we need Cesc a whole lot more. With the form Diaby is on he can fill the void for Fabregas and we have Deni, Song, Ramsey, Nasri, Wilshere and Merida who can all fill in. Thats enough quality to get past pompey. So hopefully after that he can come back and bang in the goals like he has been doing and come May lift the Premiership title. we have a superb chance lads!!!!! Up The Arse!
