Video Highlights: Arsenal 4-1 Portsmouth

Arsenal returned to the top of the Premiership table (yay!) with a comfortable 4-1 win over Portsmouth. Abou Diaby scored twice in the first half before Younis Kaboul pulled one back before the break. William Gallas extended the league with a comedy goal (see here, heh) and Aaron Ramsey scored his first Premiership goal to round off the scoring.

All the highlights are included in the video below (LINK):

andy you should throw that comic of gallas celebratin up again cos the man is unbelievable for over-celebrating the most fortunate of finishes,i actually find it hilarious ud swear hed just curled in the winner in the last minute when his bad first touch deflects off his face into the net!!!!but long may it continue…love the guy
once again vermaelen impressive….as u all know iv always been harsh on almunia and i feel we missed the boat when given went to city for a paltry 5m….sigh..i just find it impossible to be confident with him between the sticks
anyway top of the league with a massive week ahead,am confident of positive result in manchester…come on boys

Porthsmouth were really poor in their finishes, won’t be so easy everyday (liked the reporter, >>Oh dear, what a poor finish<<, <<blabla could have done better here<<, commented well, I think)

Nicely played. Expected a clean sheet almunia isnt sopose to make such simple mistakes. Hope he concentrates the game against man u. I thank wenger for switching back to the 4-4-2. That will help us against man. Nicely played Diaby, and also eduardo. Too bad his efforts could’nt be rewarded with a goal. Same goes for Robin v. Eboue isnt up to it yet. Think he should play RB again against celtic.

When I said we needed a sniffer/finisher of a striker(another EDUARDO)…I said so because i’ve watched this team play and i know their problems. It is simply scoring goals.

Now, the strikers are up to it again…imagine AA cant even stick the ball in the net. The only striker to score…EDUARDO has only done so when he was a sub….isn’t that funny?

I wasn’t really impressed, may be it was because i xpected a goal storm. I also xpected a clean sheet from almunia but it just didn’t happen. Anyways, a win is a win and we are back to the top.

The “Abou Diaby – Worst Arsenal Player in Living Memory Club” seems a little muted today ?

Very decent display from the young man – two coolly taken goals – more to come I think

Pleased for Eddy too – the guy covered every blade of grass at least four times

4-1 Arsenal! Come on guys! we won! we may be going through a lean patch in the near future (touch wood!) so enjoy the goals, the games, the Arsenal way!

I used to remember me being negative during the invincibles era, commenting on the goals we let it instead of the goals we scored, and pretty soon hey! we won the league without losing a game.

forgive me for being optimistic but after 3 great games, how could u not stand up and sing “we are the arsenal!!”

The people complaining because our strikers aren’t scoring when we’re averaging 5 goals a game need to give up on football.

The strikers are excellent ‘assists-givers’ at the moment, so I don’t see any problem so long as the others are able to finish, that is real teamwork!! I hope the strikers won’t give that up ’cause of the talking!

Im the only one who noticed Van Persie a little bit annoyed by his team mates??

Like saying “Argh I give you great passes to all of you and look what you give me.”

He´s being great because hes pushing forward (like Etoo) and hes making the midfielders to go forward without mark. Thats the reason of why all the midfielder are scoring.

Diaby is the new Viera, Gallas is the new striker (3 in) and Vermaelen looks a real number Five.

@ Mexican Gunner, sure, I noticed it, therefore I mentioned that the strikers shouldn’t grumble with that, I think, everybody will get his chance to score, if they continue to play like they play by now

nice to get another 3 points, defence looked a bit shaky at times and almunia shouldn,t be getting beaten in the air so easily he totally mistimed his jump for pompey,s goal also rvp needs a goal. icy the hammers let me down today thought they,d hold the spuds to a draw at least.

I wonder if Gallas will ever score with his feet. But as long as the ball crosses the line, I don’t mind.

Diaby was the most frustrating player for me last season. I hope this is the start of great things to come.

And here’s to hoping Fab will be back for the Man U match.

I have always liked Diaby but last season was very dissappoiting (except the Away Fenerbahce game). However last day of season against Stoke and against Pompey he was very good. Hopefully he can carry on, hope Fabregas is back for the United game. We can crush them.

The reason why our midfield is scoring is because our strikers are tightly marked and covered .That leaves the option for our midfield to score. When other teams start to feel our midfield is dangerous then our strikers will get chance to score.Other teams are tightly marking as they know Arshavin,Edurado and Van Persie are too clincial and it’s always not good for them to let them have the ball and sight of goal near the penatly box.

This season is already giving some surprise. Can’t believe T’Spurs top of the table. Far to to them they look terrific. But to arsenal I think the main threat is Chelsea all the way. Has anyone seen them play. Although even i can’t see them play for 10 Min i keep changing the channel. They play one the worst football of the top four team. But they are one of the best result oriented team of the top four in think this season. Still believe we lack the depth in squad and that will sure hurt us in the future. Can’t believe arsenal haven’t made any transfer even though every one knows they are 1 to 2 player short. But I have faith in AW but not on arsenal board

well done to the team v Portsmouth.Pity we have Cesc and Diaby on the injury list. I was dissapointed with Almunia since the England coach was at the stadium and he was terrible in giving away the goal. THe Portsmouth keeper deserves his place as no1 for England and the world cup next year

I have to admit portsmouth is struggling big time, so scoring 4 against them isnt that big deal….Footy goals and video Highlights

I’m impressed, I must say. Actually not often do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you have got hit the nail on the head. Your thought is outstanding; the issue is one thing that not sufficient people are talking intelligently about. I am very joyful that I stumbled across this in my search for something referring to this.
