Comments on: Video Highlights: Fulham 0-1 Arsenal http://arsenalfcblog.com/video-highlights-fulham-0-1-arsenal/ Arsenal Blog | Arsenal News Sat, 11 Feb 2012 04:13:03 +0000 hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.3.1 By: shambogunner http://arsenalfcblog.com/video-highlights-fulham-0-1-arsenal/#comment-95893 shambogunner Mon, 28 Sep 2009 21:27:44 +0000 http://arsenalfcblog.com/?p=2673#comment-95893 hello all diaby comin in for alot of stick and i can understand it because he makes the same mistakes week after week,and their not unlucky instances but carelessness and poor concentration...hes played 100 games and im sure if any nuetral were to rate him hed only get 7/10 plus in under 20 games...this guy should be in chomping at the bit while nasri,deni,ros,vela and theo have been out but he hasnt shown any desire or more importantly improvement and im hugely dissapointed by him as a long time critic of almunia i havto express my delight at the recent performances of schnezy and mannone...now whilst its too early to be heaping praise and pressure on them i have to say both of their presence,decision making,reactions and general shot stopping are well above almunias capabilities...if any1 would dispute this ask yourself whens the last time we kept a clean sheet when the opposition has had so many shots on target???? and it was brilliant to win 1-0!!!!!if we can do that more this season wel give ourselves a good chance as theres notin more demoralising for your direct competition than these narrow/undeserved victorys just a mention aswel to the reports today of how comfortable financially we are again this year and i guess now every1 knows for sure that there always was and is funds available for the manager to buy who he wants....no more excuses that wer hanicapped by our emirates move hello all

Very good to read all your posts. Most of us seem to agree that Diaby is our only real problem and I cannot for the life of me understand why why why AW keeps starting him? He is absolutely not good enough. He wasn't good enough when he started playing for us and, 100 games later, he's still not good enough. Clearly he never will be good enough. Yet week in week out there he is trotting flat footedly out on to the pitch for us. He is Arsene's and Arsenal's achilles heel. I believe he may do moderately well for a lesser Premier league team, probably his 'style' (for want of a worser word) is better suited abroad. But he is NOT for Arsenal. To think what we could achieve with a real top quality player in his place! Having got that off my chest I thought Fulham were great and I have a lot of respect for them after that game. They were the best team we've played. It was an excellent result for the lads and of course kudos most of all to 'The Don' (I like that radads!). He's got presence. Very important in a keeper I believe. I've nothing against Almunia particularly but I agree with others that I don't think he'd have made all those stops. 'The Don' kind of showed him up a bit. Lastly a word about Van P. he's scored two goals (V Fulham and V Man City) when under intense pressure from defenders. I'm not sure there's another forward in the Premier league who can do that. Why did Johnson and Zamora win all areal balls? cant our defenders jump or do we need a taller CM. Mannone was awesome but replacing almunia is jumping the gun a bit as it only takes 1 bad move to undo all the time arsne has spent on him. But on the plus side he would be in the team with the home grown rule as he's been with us for 5 years now. I have always rated diaby and stood up for the lad when people have said he wouldn't be good enough for arsenal but this is the season he really should be pushing into the 1st team but after the last couple of games hes had ramsey will be overtaking him shortly so he better sort it out and quick. Hope to see vela get a run out in the cl this week as he would be better than our big dane in a easyish tie.
